Draw out experiences of work using models and small world toys such as Lego.
Representing your workplace in Lego (especially if not provided with obvious representations of desks/tools/computers etc) allows the exploration of workplace practices and dynamics through analogy and metaphor. For example, in-house experts represented as wizards, management sitting by rooftop swimming pools, etc.
These approaches are also used as by management as team building activities, but can be used in more radical ways.
